Segway Tour in St. Lucia

Our Segway tour in St. Lucia is the Rodney Bay Village Segway: about two hours gliding around the village with a local guide, after a practice run. It's $95 USD per person, with hotel pickup and return.

Never ridden one? That's fine. You won't set off until you're steady.

Practice first, then the ride

Your guide shows you how to start, stop and turn. Lean forward a little and it moves; lean back and it slows.

Most people get it faster than they expect. Want more time before you head off? Just say so, and you'll get it.

Once you're moving, the guide rides with the group the whole way.

Rodney Bay Village, with a guide out front

Rodney Bay Village is the lively heart of the north, with the marina, the waterfront, and streets of cafés and restaurants a short walk from Reduit Beach. The ride takes you around it at an easy pace, and your guide picks the way on the day.

Expect stories about the bay and the people who live and work here, and stops where the view is good. Want a group photo? Your guide will take a few.

Rides leave at 9 am, 11 am and 2 pm. The Rodney Bay Village Segway runs under St Lucia Segway, our Segway brand.

What to wear and bring

  • Closed-toe shoes. Sandals and flip-flops can't ride.
  • Sunscreen and a bottle of water.
  • A small bag for your phone, zipped shut while you ride.
  • Helmets are supplied, and everyone wears one. Knee and elbow pads are there if you'd like them.

The ride isn't offered during pregnancy. If an injury or a health condition could affect your balance or control, contact us before you book.

Who rides?

Couples, friends and families ride with us. Riders need to be at least 6, and there's no upper age limit. Your guide checks that everyone can handle the Segway safely before the group sets off.

It suits anyone who'd rather not walk around in the heat but still wants to see the village up close.

Segway tour questions

Is a Segway hard to learn?

No. You practise with the guide before the ride, and you only head out once you're comfortable.

How old do you have to be?

At least 6, with no upper age limit. Every rider has to be able to control the Segway safely, so tell us about children before you book.

What if it rains?

Short showers come and go here. If we can't run your ride, we'll offer another time, and if none suits you, you get a full refund.

Do I need to be fit?

Not really. The Segway does the work; you just stand, lean and steer.
